Play with the Big Dogs
There are approximately 2,400 service dogs working in the United States military. Typically German or Dutch shepherd breeds are chosen for their personality traits — extremely loyal, smart, and aggressive.
Now you can interact with these highly trained and dedicated members of the military by logging on to DoSomethingAmazing.com. Within the site, you'll have the opportunity to see firsthand just how strong and intimidating attack dogs can be when pursuing a would-be assailant, and even determine the point of attack.
Not all dogs are used for attacking; many are trained for seeking out contraband such as explosives or drugs using their keen senses of smell. Within the Search Dogs section, you'll learn about how these dogs are trained, and you can also hide a decoy in a virtual room to see how quickly and accurately it will be found.
